🎴 How to Play Hwatu (Quick & Simple)

Hwatu is a traditional Korean card game played by matching cards by month and collecting scoring sets. The most common way to play is Go Stop (고스톱).

👥 Players

2 to 4 players
Best with 3 players

🃏 Setup

• Shuffle the cards
• Deal cards to each player
• Place several cards face up in the center
• Keep the remaining cards as the draw pile

▶️ Your Turn

1️⃣ Play one card from your hand
2️⃣ If it matches the same month on the table, collect the pair
3️⃣ Draw one card from the pile
4️⃣ Match again if possible

Matched cards are kept face up in front of you.

Collect card combinations to earn points.

🧮 Basic Scoring

🌟 Bright cards
🌸 Ribbon cards
🦢 Animal cards
🍃 Junk cards (피)
🍃🍃 Double Junk (쌍피) counts as two

You usually need 3 points to win.

🛑 Stop
End the round and win safely once you reach enough points

🚀 Go
Keep playing to earn more points, but risk losing if another player wins
